Change of Scenery

I spent last week in Boston, Annapolis, and Washington, DC. While I dreaded spending an entire week out of the office — and not on vacation — it turns out it was time very well spent. Among other activities, I went to OnDemand, a major industry trade show. It was fascinating, and I met many cool people, and participated in some panel discussions.

I got to meet with my entire congressional delegation (Congressman and both Senators.) Not just handshakes, but some good substantive discussion about the big issues of the day, including those that affect PFL.
I also made some great contacts that should result in growing our revenues through various partnership deals.

Even though it seems really costly, I encourage you to get out of the office and get more exposure to your industry, and other industries. It is a great way to grow your business.
