There’re so many energy drinks these days, some of which you can’t get customers to try even if you give them away. Red Bull has such an iron grip on the market that it will be hard for any new competitor, even the ones that have a better and healthier product, to gain some recognition and eventually market share.
Let’s not forget that Red Bull also has the “cool factor”, which is not necessarily the result of a good or healthy product. It’s the result of a marketing machine that consumes hundreds of millions of dollars every year.
Reading between the lines of your post, I’m assuming that you’re not involved in the manufacturing of the drink but are rather interested in distributing it in Scandinavia. Do you have a clear picture of what it takes to get approval from regulators in Sweden and Norway to be able to market your drink there? Since Sweden is part of the EU and the drink is already sold in other EU member states, getting a green light in Sweden may be easier than in Norway.
Anyways, I’d be interested in striking up a conversation with you and your team to see if there’s anything we can do to help. Our firm has worked in that area before and helped various entrepreneurs and emerging growth companies with launching products in the EU. We’re headquartered in the UK, and thus, extremely familiar with developing and executing viable capital market strategies outside the U.S.

Please send me a private message here on SUN or contact me via our website if you wish to discuss your project in greater detail.
I hope this helps.
Cheers!
