Welcome to the one and only ranking focused on the most successful moms running both families and businesses at the same time.

The 2013 StartupNation Leading Moms in Business competition will rank the top 10 mom-run businesses across the United States as determined by the combination of popular vote and our panel of judges. The competition is a celebration of these important, special and inspirational entrepreneurs.

The #1 winner of the competition will be awarded $10,000, provided by office products leader Staples!

The top three winners will each receive a 1-2 hour complimentary workplace design consultation from Business Interiors by Staples^® and $1,000 towards your office improvement efforts.

The top three winners will also win a complimentary business growth consultation by StartupNation founders Jeff and Rich Sloan, valued at $2,000.

Enter your Business

Who Should Enter

To enter you must be a mom and be a majority owner of a business. You must also have a website for your business. No matter what industry, what business model, what size and stage, if you meet those three requirements, you’re encouraged to enter. If you are selected as a winner, you will need to supply proof of ownership of your business and proof of your company revenue for the past three years (or fewer in the case that your business was founded less than three years ago).

Selection Process and Important Dates

The judges (to be announced) will review the top 10 vote getters and select businesses from among those to highlight as “Most Outstanding.”

• March 8, 2013:  Registration and voting begins.
• April 30, 2013:  Voting and entry ends at 5:00PM Eastern time. Judging and vote tabulation will take place throughout late April. StartupNation will select a variety of moms from among the finalists and create editorial feature stories about them.
• Week of May 13, 2013:  Winners will be announced
