Contestant's Case to Win
This is based on the number of votes received and does not reflect the quality of the business or chances of winning.Being of service is a major part of Jennifer’s life which is why she created and promotes Activism Through Fitness©. It’s her way of giving back – giving back to worthy causes, giving back to her clients and giving back to those in need.
Activism Through Fitness© connects people to charity fitness events that raise funds for worthy causes such as the MS 150 bike ride for MS research, Swim for Life for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Girls on the Run 5K for at risk pre-teen and teen girls, the Children’s Hospital uncompensated care fund 5K and swim, and the Cycle the WAVE (Women Against Violence Everywhere) bike ride that raises funds for Eastside Domestic Violence are just a few of the events that Jennifer actively promotes.
Activism Through Fitness was born in 2006 when her oldest sons best friend was diagnosed with Leukemia at the age of 15. Thankfully he beat the disease and is about to start his second year of college. The care he received at Children’s Hospital was stupendous thanks to the dedication to the extraordinary staff at the hospital and the hospitals policy of caring for a sick child regardless of the families’ ability to pay. The following year Jennifer learned about a mile and a half swim across Lake Washington to raise funds for the uncompensated care fund for Children’s Hospital. Not only did Jennifer do the swim to raise funds she has encouraged numerous people to do it with her in the following years. Two years ago her son, his best friend and a girlfriend made up a team for the Pineapple Classic a 5K obstacle course that raises funds for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. It was both a celebration of the friends’ health and a declaration of war on the disease of cancer.
Jennifer is a wonderful model of success by creating a life of balance, being of service, creating and living the life of her dreams as well as being a dedicated wife of 20 years, mother of 2 teenage sons, a sister, a daughter, a friend and advocate for those that need a helping hand. That they can do more than they ever thought possible all the while cheering them on to success.
