Our business has pioneered a niche market that has nearly exploded over the course of 3 years with similar business popping up all over the globe including, New York, Canada, the UK and even South Africa (we often get calls and emails from all over inquiring about our business).
As a mom, I started BB to help other mothers in the community who were in need of a simple and local spot to troubleshoot stroller problems - everything from broken brakes, bent chassis', flat tires, torn fabric and more. We also began cleaning and detailing strollers and car seats as more parents wanted a newly refurbished ride for thier little ones, particularly subsequent children.
In the past year we have added some pretty exciting additions to our business including: "Bay City Stroller Rentals" (Try before you buy!) and also (coming next month) "The Stroller Exchange" (Buy-Sell-Trade). We also have a new site coming out next month that will hopefully be more eye catching and fun and easy to navigate!
We are very fortunate to have grown in the grassroots way that we have (especially with virtually no budget for marketing or advertising), but the word of mouth from our happy customers has lended us exposure in Yelp, DailyCandyKids, local newspapers, and various blogs.
I feel very blessesed as a mother to have gotten the wide support from my family and community to start and keep Buggy Bubbles going, and the opportunity to be featured as a Leading Mom in Business would mean the world!
