Contestant's Case to Win

This is based on the number of votes received and does not reflect the quality of the business or chances of winning.
Jewels by Jan Barefoot Sandals is a mom-owned small business created by 2 sisters in 2003. While juggling careers and raising children we've spent our nights and weekends handcrafting our one-of-a-kind foot jewelry.

In the fall of 2003, a gift from Cancun turned into an inspiration. The gift was a pair of bottomless beach sandals with large, wood beads. While the concept of something to decorate the tops of the feet was appealing, we instantly saw the possibility of something quite different. By changing the wood beads to a combination of colored glass beads and Swarovski crystals the "sandal" took on a whole, new look. The final change was adding a distinctive centerpiece to each design which has come to be known as our trademarked "medallion-in-the-middle". The "hippie" barefoot sandal just became a fashionable footwear accessory with bling!

Our business has allowed each of us to be creative as well as bring us closer. We each contribute new designs to keep our collection fresh and have discovered countless ways to advertise our business in creative ways without spending a dime.

Women are wearing our beaded, bottomless sandals for a variety of barefoot occasions. They're perfect for a destination beach wedding but also for a day at the beach, on a cruise or a honeymoon. They make great gifts and can even be worn with shoes.

We're proud members of the National Association of Professional Women and San Diego Wedding Professionals.
Women are changing the face of America's economy.

Thank you for your votes!
