Contestant's Case to Win

Sniffle Buddies started as a Mom's answer to her child's allergy problem. A cut up sock soon became a sweatband, and then developed into an eco-friendly, washable, bamboo velour wristband over elastic secured by velcro for easy on/off by the parent. The business has developed into a productive online shop along with a few boutique placements and sales that now reach across the US, Canada, Philippines, and soon to be South Africa.

The business is a one person operation, run by J. Kelly Mayes who also prides herself as a full-time Mom. Juggling a start up business, co-op nursery school mom duties, wife, and active sports enthusiast has been challenging, but gratifying and enlightening!

The wristbands are now also being used by special needs individuals for managing drool...which makes the journey even more beautiful. What began as a helper for a busy, allergy-prone 2 year old has now served to help people of all ages. They're handy on the ski slopes too!

Sniffle Buddies, LLC is a member of JPMA (Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association) and winner of The National Parenting Center Seal of Approval. I strive to make business and production choices that are eco-friendly and consult with environmental professionals on more effective techniques regularly. I am proud to say that Sniffle Buddies is also a Green America Approved business!
