Contestant's Case to Win

This is based on the number of votes received and does not reflect the quality of the business or chances of winning.
My name is Dianne Hadaway, and in 2006 I set up my own accessories design studio in my home and created my online boutique, Mama's Pocketbook. I have been a seamstress & designer since I was 8 years old. I love mixing vintage and modern fabrics in romantic, floral, flirty, feminine styles to create my original fabric pocketbooks, purses, totes, handbags, bag accessories, and other handcrafted personal, home, and office accessories. I also offer designer sewing patterns, purse making kits and free patterns on my website.

This Spring I started a related business designed to help other women entrepreneurs to improve and upgrade their online businesses utilizing my extensive background in SEO and in building successful websites over the past 10 years. Being an owner of an online boutique and having this knowledge of how to optimize a website, I have discovered a real need I can fill in the online boutique community of entrepreneurs. My new company, SEO-Boutique is a subsidiary of my Mama's Pocketbook, LLC organization offering search engine optimization and business coaching to train clients in the science of SEO so they can maintain and build their site with themselves.

In 2000, 5 years previous to starting Mama's Pocketbook, I was a writer/editor and was the Guide to Single Parents at About.com (A NYTimes Company). I was a single mom when I started that work (and married my high school sweetie in 2003), so in addition to juggling these two businesses and my very active families needs, I continue to be very involved with helping single parents. I have a business partnership with Jason Mesnick (of ABC's The Bachelor reality TV show) in managing and developing our website dedicated to single parents at JasonsPlace.com. And I have owned and managed a single parents forum, SingleParentsHelp.com since 2006.

I'm enormously blessed and give all the glory to God to be led and to be able to give my time to my passions, creating beautiful fashion & home accessories and helping single moms & dads in their journey, as well as being home to care for my wonderful and incredibly supportive husband and two children. I put my all into everything I do and I am grateful for the ability and encouragement I get daily from family, customers, clients, friends and colleagues. Thank you for this opportunity to share my story and perhaps widen my territory and bear witness that every woman truly can pursue her dreams.
