Many out of the basements or spare bedrooms of their homes. They don’t have the resources or know how to support their business through marketing. Most of the time, they rely on word of mouth.
I’m a mom that has always wanted to start a business. I am in awe of women who juggle all their family commitments with the work that it takes to start a business. Using my background in marketing, public relations and journalism, I believe I can help these moms take their business to the next level. Marketmommies.com connects moms in business with moms who need their services and products who would also love to be able to support a mom owned business with their shopping dollars.
I started Marketmommies.com because I wanted to create a directory of mom owned businesses. When I needed a service or product, I always thought it would wonderful if I could find a mom owned business to support with my shopping dollar. However, I never found any way to find mom businesses. I would hear about mom businesses through friends but there was no way to find them other than that. I thought it would be great if moms like me could just go to a website and find mom owned businesses. My hope is that Marketmommies.com will help moms reach more customers and make their businesses a success! Whether it’s a mom in her basement sewing curtains, or a CEO of a multi million dollar company, we are all moms!
