I am a mom and flight attendant, with a business. My family always comes first. I find time throughout the day and in the evening to tend to my business.
I would like to be an inspiration to any one who has an idea and wants to start a business. I taught myself how to sew and created my first sample and working prototype. Sourced a manufacturer and "opened shop".Baby steps led to bigger steps. Along the way I learned a lot. At first I was timid to ask people questions, and to ask Boutiques to feature my product. I am much more confident running my business today. The more you learn and educate yourself, the better you get at anything you want to do.
I would love to win the Moms In Business Contest. Winning would allow me to receive expert advice from Jeff and Rich Sloan, which would be priceless!!! To win, would be an unbelievable honor and help escalate my company to the next level. The funding would go directly to producing more inventory and help me fill big orders.
The media exposure from winning the contest is another great outcome. Since I am a startup, I don't have the resources to advertise, so winning would put my company in the spotlight, which in turn would put CoverTots "out there" in moms hands.
