Thank you so much for considering Raving Tans in this competition. I have been blessed to have met some absolutely amazing people that may have started as clients and now I can truly say are friends. I love what I do, and even with another baby on the way {due in July!!} I'm still helping brides, pageant gals, dance teams, and just the typical mom like myself get a little color to make them feel just a bit more confident in the skin they are in no matter what the occasion might be.

I guess you can say I’ve never been JUST a stay-at-home mamma. Motherhood hit, but I have always been eager to keep working at some of my greatest passions on the side. Once I had my second child though, I realized that most of these passions were getting a little too tough to keep up and still be able to devote myself to my wonderful kids. But that didn’t stop me. I just had to develop an enthusiasm for something that I could do out of my home and travel only for special assignments when my husband could be home with the kids. It didn’t take long.
Tanning has been a part of my life for the past 10 years. Being a competitive cheerleader, going to school in Hawaii, and being part of many special occasions for my friends and family over the years, tanning was just another thing on the to-do list. I spent countless hours lying under the bulbs only to later find out how much damage I was actually causing myself by doing so. I was ready to ditch the tanning beds for good.
Looking into other options, it was a no brainer. Spray tanning is one of the safest and most effective ways to continue looking “kissed by the sun.” Well, until you started looking at the price. The average cost of a single spray tan/airbrush session is $60-$120. Get two tans a month and I’m sorry, that’s not in my budget! Yikes! So now I’m realizing that not only am I getting into something that I have invested interest in, safe tanning at an affordable price is a need and I want to fill it!
So my mind was made. I already had my B.A. in Communication and then I became a certified spray tanning technician by the National Tanning Training Institute. I do HVLP (High volume, low pressure) tanning from my home in North County, San Diego and mobile for tanning parties, single tans and different events. The products I have chosen to use are all organic and odorless. Even safe enough to give those baby bumps some color!
What began as a “mommy hobby” has now become a business that I truly love. I feel blessed to help people feel just a little bit more confident in the skin they are in.
