Contestant's Case to Win
This is based on the number of votes received. Sugar Mama Sweets was created after I lost my job in 2011. I've always had a passion for baking and cooking. Friends have always asked me to make birthday cakes, cookies, cupcakes and eventually began referring their friends to me. When I lost my job, I decided to take this "blessing" and turn it in to something wonderful. My little girl was just shy of one. I had just gotten a divorce. It was time to turn my life around and make all these changes work for the better. I started baking all kinds of sweet treats for anyone I knew that was having a special event. It started out with cakes for birthdays, then I began receiving tons of requests for gourmet cupcakes and it went from there. I've made anything from specialty cakes, gourmet cupcakes, chocolate & caramel covered pretzels, breads, jams, fudge, cookies, and so much more! I was eventually invited to be a pastry chef at the Boca Raton Wine & Food Festival and from there I have done many other markets and events. We are really trying to push the business to another level and make it a steady business and in the future, expand. My goal is to have an all family run bakery business, in many states and also have a bed and breakfast.
