Contestant's Case to Win

This is based on the number of votes received.
Melanie Potock, MA, CCC-SLP, is a national expert and speaker on the topic of picky eating and a certified speech language pathologist who teaches children how to become more adventurous eaters!

Melanie is the author of Happy Mealtimes with Happy Kids: How to Teach Your Child About the Joy of Food, a practical resource for parenting in the kitchen. Happy Mealtimes offers practical tips for new parents, such as how to correctly position a child in a high chair and/or which spoon to use and why. The book addresses how to create healthy, joyful family mealtimes and avoid the "nugget and french fry" rut that is all to common in America today.

My Munch Bug is also the platform for Dancing in the Kitchen: Songs that Celebrate the Joy of Food! Mel is the executive producer of this unique children's music CD designed for kids ages 3 to 93, who are sure to devour every note! It's a feast for the entire family and designed to entice even the pickiest eaters to join in at the dinner table as everyone rocks out to "Gimme' Something to Chew" or laughs together over the operetta "I Love Peas!" (found on You Tube!)

Over the past 16 months, Melanie has contributed her expert advice to Autism & Asperger's Digest Magazine, The Tender Palate, Colorado Parent, The Leader and other national publications while helping a variety of children learn the most fundamental joy: the love of food. Mel works with children who have a variety of needs, from those with significant medical complications and sensory issues to the garden- variety picky eater.

Melanie wrote Happy Mealtimes and created Dancing in the Kitchen with an open heart and a touch of humor! Learning to be an adventurous eater is a journey and one that the entire family can enjoy! As a mother of a very picky eater, Mel began to apply what she had learned raising her own daughters to the practices she followed as a professional feeding specialist. The result was My Munch Bug, a resource for all parents via social media, seminars, website (mymunchbug.com), books and an acclaimed children CD that is sure to create happier mealtimes for everyone. Please consider My Munch Bug and Melanie Potock to win the Leading Moms in Business Competition so that she can continue to support families in one of the most important times of the day: family mealtime.
