I'm committed to bringing quality products to the modern family and building a business that will ultimately foster the growth of socially disadvantaged young adults interested in careers in fashion through mentorships, internships, and education.
How do I do that you ask? By manufacturing hand-tailored custom and readymade tote bags and accessories. What’s more compact, portable, practical, modern, multifunctional, modular, simple, smart, stylish and sustainable than a tote bag.
Totes are defined as large and roomy bags and that’s a description that covers a lot of types of bags. Totes have been in use since women were going out to gather food and even today they are a must in our mobile lifestyles. The more we do, the more we need them. The working woman, the stay at home mom, the educator, the fitness guru, the world traveler, or the college student, all have special requirements and equipment that needs to be carried.
The difference between a plain utilitarian tote and a designer original is the fabric. That’s where I come in. Pink Koala Design marries modern and vintage influences and offers a collection of stylish, functional and practical tote bags and accessories in an assortment of fabrics, old and new. My products are simple and modern, and the textiles I choose are "limited edition" retro inspired bright and engaging textiles that give each product a little something extra. Pink Koala Design is a combination of my passion for fashion design, bold colorful textiles, and simple classic design.
Each and every one of my hand-tailored products is one of a kind and very limited in quantity. By building this business, I hope to develop a brand that will ultimately help change the face of the fashion industry.
Although Pink Koala Design is still growing, you can believe that there is so much more to come. Pink Koala Design exists to merge business with community outreach. My goals are to provide stylish functional products and to build a profitable business that will foster growth for socially disadvantaged young adults interested in careers in fashion through mentorships, internships, and education.
Being chosen as a 2012 Leading Mom in Business will give Pink Koala Design the exposure neeeded to help achieve those goals and make a difference in the lives of local youths.
