Contestant's Case to Win

My mom and I launched School Sparks as a mother-daughter venture in February 2011. I am the proud stay-at-home mom of two amazing boys. My mom (herself a mom of three) is a former preschool and kindergarten teacher who retired in 2008 to become a "full-time grandma."

We believe that when children start preschool or kindergarten with the necessary foundation of skills, they are positioned to begin on a path of lasting academic success. School Sparks offers printable worksheets, activity suggestions, a kindergarten readiness assessment, lengthy summaries of what skills school-aged children will be expected to have in the classroom, and much more. With this information, we hope parents can work with their children in a fun and relaxed setting to help their children develop school-readiness and other general skills.

Also, our website is a totally FREE resource of information. No membership fee, no cost to join, no registration, and we don't even have any pop-up advertisements our users need to navigate around. We aim to give parents valuable information on school readiness topics in an easy-to-read way -- membership fees or pesky ads would just slow us down! :)
