The Owie Pillow is a pillow that has many uses. The Owie Pillow is an abdominal pillow for a motorist wearing a safety belt. This product helps alleviate the pressure against the person’s abdomen, thereby reducing stress and pain in this area. It can be used by any motorist and is especially helpful to pregnant women and those suffering from abdominal injuries, wounds, recent surgery, or pain. When applied, this pillow is situated between the person’s abdomen and the seat belt. While ideal for those with abdominal injuries, post-surgical sites, and pregnancies, this product can be used by almost any motorist who simply wants a more comfortable ride. It may also be used in conjunction with seat belts worn on an aircraft.
During the early stages of developing the “Owie Pillow” Company -- what I thought was going to be needed to start the venture and what turned out to be reality was – “night and day.” It was an eye-opening experience with everything I had to learn, how much research and time that went into building the company.. I put in a lot of time and effort researching web designers, photographers, videographers, patent law, TM law, seeking counsel, product liability insurance, manufacturing, customs, import/export procedures while still being a good mom and wife…all in a day’s work, right? I have been meeting with hospitals and medical groups, where they are providing the Owie Pillow to the patient complimentary. These patients are now able to go to and from their destination without having to endure any additional pain or discomfort.
