This is based on the number of votes received. A special moment, an important anniversary, a new arrival—those things are really the most important memories we cherish through out our lives.
At the end of 2007, I was searching the internet for weeks hoping to find the perfect gift to commemorate a special day in the life of my fiancé Steve. I was having a hard time finding exactly what I envisioned the gift should look like. I recalled a calendar charm that my Grandfather (who was a jeweler) had made into a necklace and gave to my Grandmother many, many years ago to mark their wedding anniversary. She wore it every day that I can remember when I was a little girl, and it was incredibly special to her.
Being as sentimental as I am, I wanted to find something similar that was meaningful and unique to give the special man in my life. Everything I found on-line was so ordinary and unattractive, so to solve my problem I designed my own calendar charm, had the first piece made into a key ring for Steve and I loved it so much, that I had a calendar necklace made for myself with my own birthday on it. That was the beginning of my original Calendar DATESAKE Jewelry and Gift Collection.
I patented my Calendar Key design in 2010 and have taken that product to another level by creating 3 sister sites. I feel that it's important to give back so I teamed up with Fran Drescher's Cancer Schmancer, and Tigerlily Foundation and am donating 30% to those two organization from sales on yourcancerversary.com.
