Stephanie Stiller is the brainpower behind BrightBin, LLC. The idea for The New Generation Lunch Box was conceptualized one night in the fall of 2009 while Stephanie was packing lunch for her oldest daughter. She became fed up with all the waste generated by the “traditional” way of using plastic bags to pack a school lunch, and using small food storage containers was not working either because her kids kept losing the lids. Thus, she had the vision for The New Generation Lunch Box and moved forward to design, develop, and bring this product to market. Thirteen months later, the product is now available to change the way kids (and adults) pack a lunch.

Having taught elementary and middle school students for a number of years in both Chicago and the San Francisco Bay Area, Stephanie has had firsthand insight to the amount of waste produced as a bi-product of kids bringing lunch to school. The astounding amount of waste produced was shocking to her many years ago, even before “going green” was “in.” And now that she has three young children of her own, she is determined to change the way all kids bring lunch to school. Her mission is to have every child who brings lunch to school pack a 100% waste-free lunch that is easy for parents and economical. Because of her experience as a teacher, Stephanie is a firm believer that lessons taught at a young age stay with kids as they grow older. She knows that teaching our children to do their part with something as simple and as easy as bringing a waste-free lunch to school will foster within them a mindful respect of our environment as they grow older.

BrightBin and The New Generation Lunch Box make make it easy and simple to reduce your carbon footprint. Every New Generation Lunch Box saves 1000 plastic bags from winding up in the landfills each year per person and saves families over $70/year not buying plastic bags!
