Contestant's Case to Win
This is based on the number of votes received.Pathways to Preparedness began last year with a dedication to training families in the Denver, CO area in common-sense preparedness skills. Our company believes in cultivating thinkers - people who understand the possible dangers they may face and are making plans to survive and even thrive when facing those dangers.
Our classes include gardening, canning, knitting, ammunition reloading, orienteering, survival shooting, and emergency preparedness. Throughout the year, Pathways to Preparedness offers just-in-time training to our Denver community so they have the most current information as they implement their emergency planning and develop a more self-reliant lifestyle.
This year, Pathways to Preparedness is opening a division with a small CSA farm (community sponsored agriculture). Snoozing Dogs Farm will be offering unique herbs and vegetables - like tomatoes from seeds that orbited the earth and rocket-shaped broccoli. Our background is in rocket science, so our agriculture continues that theme. Besides, if your vegetables are fun to look at, they are fun to eat! The CSA will be available with limited shares this first year, and will expand to a much larger operation in the winter of 2011 and next spring's growing season.
Pathways to Preparedness is committed to cultivating thinkers - because in any emergency, your brain is the most important tool you own. We hope to see you in a class, on our blog, or at a farmers' market this summer. In the meantime, keep thinking!
