whippersnappers™ is a studio like you've never seen before. Why? Because three years ago, as the principal of a successful marketing strategy firm with two young children, I said, “there’s gotta be a better way to get your kids picture taken.”

I looked into buying an existing franchise to set up in our little (yet savvy) town of Bend, Oregon. Yet, the more existing concepts I looked into, the more I thought that they had all missed the boat. From the look and feel of the retail location, to holding the digital images hostage (in this day and age!), to the cheesy/posed “insert your kid here” type of photography that has been running rampant for the past bazillion years....I knew that, armed with my skills as a marketer and a mother, I could do it better.

And so, on one fine day in June of 2006, whippersnappers studio™ was born. We opened on a theory, yet hit the market with rave reviews and quickly developed a strong brand. The flagship studio continues to grow each year, with a near perfect approval rating, all while supporting local non-profit organizations.

As the “about time” concept wowed clients time after time, I figured it was time to take our show on the road. In order to maintain our boutique feel, I knew it was vital that we have an owner in every studio. The only way to accomplish this was by franchising.
