Contestant's Case to Win

Wellness Destinations Central (WDC) is a new online alternative healthcare directory. While not the only online directory of its kind, WDC is unique in that it invites any holistic practitioner to list for free. The directory is participant driven and is grassroots in nature in order to facilitate alternative healthcare moving further into the mainstream. Predominately public service in structure, it is the goal of WDC to become the premiere resource for connecting wellness seekers with wellness therapy providers.

Carla Golden (me!) is the founder of WDC and a wearer of many hats: wife, mom to a seven year old daughter, Licensed Massage Therapist and blogger. It would be an honor to be considered a winner of this competition because I intend to dedicate the rest of my life to educating others about the freedom to be found in wholesome, natural health. I wish to become to alternative medicine what Alice Waters is to food and what Anita Roddick was to cosmetics: getting back to the basics, embracing authenticity, sharing abundance and celebrating truth.

When WDC becomes hugely successful, I intend to reinvest profits in programs that feed the hungry and in studies that validate the effectiveness of alternative medicines and therapies.
