Contestant's Case to Win
This is based on the number of votes received. The spirit of this business represents everything that American businesses should practice. We assume our customers are very smart, our business is filling a very cumbersome need; offering product solutions for those with pain, disabilities and injuries, it requires extraordinary thought and care, the business by nature supports non-profits nationwide, sets a phenomenal example of care and compassion for every generation, and is comprised of some of the most likeable, smart, passionate, talented group of employees you'll ever meet.
Erika Feinberg, our CEO and Chief Happiness Officer, is a wife of her great friend/ “mid-western” husband and mother of two adorable, smart and passionate children, and shares a very unique outlook on life with her family at home and "family" at the office. She always says, if I'm going to take time away from my family, I want to make sure it's time well worth spending. She also is very genuine and devoted to mentoring her team, just as she mentors her children. She is obviously very emotionally attached to the mission of ActiveForever (http://www.activeforever.com/t-aboutus.aspx), as she is to imparting positive and profound learning and growth experiences to everyone here, and onto all of our customers and community members. She's not satisfied until everyone loves her and this company more than they love anything in the world. (A quote we often hear from her:)
When you experience the bonds she has developed with every member of our team, as well as our customers and community members, you can tell that there is little separation between the deep love and respect she shares with her husband and children and what she brings to life outside the home.
Despite the terrible economy, some of the worst years in recent economic history, this company has continued to grow dramatically and she has also been able to impart lessons of values and good decision making through all of us, as well as her home life. For several years, she has not even taken a salary from her work here. (She's not hurting for money though!) Even though she has done very well financially, you can tell that she maintains a great balance of luxury and hard work ethic and values through her family life, as well as through this corporate culture here. I cannot imagine there's any better candidate for your competition!
