Contestant's Case to Win
This is based on the number of votes received.Accepted.com is a leading admissions consultancy and application essay editing service that I started as a home-based, part-time business when our six children ranged in age from 5-14. In 1996, ancient times in Internet history, I put up a site at www.accepted.com as an experiment. Business exploded. As the children grew, so did Accepted. I experimented with other Internet technologies: hosting online chats for schools, a newsletter, database, ebooks, blog, telethons, social media, and more. Today, our five surviving children are young adults ranging in age from 20-28, and we have three grandchildren. Accepted too has grown and has seventeen editors and four part-time employees, one of whom is my daughter who herself is the mother of two young children.
Why I should be considered: I am a mom who has juggled the demands of six children, catastrophic pediatric illness, teens, and even two weddings while growing a successful, profitable business in the brave, new online world of the last fifteen years.
Isn't that what Leading Moms in Business is about?
