Contestant's Case to Win

Hi, my name is Christine Miller, I am a mother of 4 and Founder and CEO of Hip Monkey, Inc. I started Hip Monkey as an online baby store that would allow parents to purchase high quality products while also supporting a great cause. Hip Monkey is unique in the fact that it donates 100% of it's net profits from car seat sales to the Kyle David Miller Foundation to go towards purchasing safe car seats for children in need. The Kyle David Miller Foundation was started by my husband and I after the death of our son Kyle in a tragic automobile accident. After experiencing extreme disgust trying and failing to get large baby stores to donate to the Foundation (even though they were using Kyle's story to help sell car seats), I decided that I would create my own baby store selling the car seats we were endorsing so that I could take the profits and give them to the KDM Foundation. What I didn't know is how quickly the store would grow and the enthusiastic response we would receive from our customers. It turns out people really love to help others! This past year has been one of tremendous growth, we have moved into a bigger warehouse and added quite a few new products in addition to the car seats we started with. We also have many exciting new plans in the works for this year and hope to expand into a full scale baby and children's store in the near future.

Losing my son was the absolute worst pain imaginable but being able to give back and help keep other children safe through the non-profit named in his honor and now running Hip Monkey which helps support that cause, has been such a blessing and helped me heal tremendously. I can honestly say "I love my jobs", the first being a mom to my wonderful kiddos and the second running this great company that has beaten the odds and shown that a business can have a heart and give back. :)
