SolTec Electronics is 100% woman owned by Dawn Gluskin. Having a long history in the industry as a top sales producer, Dawn decided to "take the plunge" and start her own company shortly after the birth of her daughter in 2008. Feeling pressured by her employer to quickly return from maternity leave was a huge motivating factor. Still wanting a career while spending time with her newborn, starting her own company seemed to be the best solution. Being her own boss has been tough work, but it also has given her the flexibility she needs to coincide with new motherhood. But, above all, she is able to be a role model and inspiration to her daughter, teaching her that a woman can be strong, intelligent, successful, caring, and loving all at the same time!
