Contestant's Case to Win

Secondary Solutions is an educational publishing company that specializes in Literature and Writing Guides to help middle and high school English/Language Arts teachers. I started Secondary Solutions when, as a new high school English teacher who felt tremendous pressure to improve my students' test scores, I was unable to find appropriate materials to help my students master the necessary concepts at the secondary level. Frustrated and tired of trying to get by with inappropriate, inane lessons designed by publishers on the market, I finally decided that if the right materials were going to be available to me and other teachers, I was going to have to make them myself.

Thus began Secondary Solutions, which has grown from just a few Literature Guides to over 25 Literature and Essay Writing Guides which have been taking the market by storm.

While I only became a mother 18 weeks ago, I have continued to grow my business, not only as the President of Secondary Solutions, but also an author of our 14 Literature Guides and two Essay Writing Programs, Essay Architect and Essay Apprentice. I also continue to teach full time. I developed a business that has grown exponentially and continue to find new ways of making the business thrive as my family also grows! It has been the most rewarding experience to be able to live my dreams of being both an entrepreneur and a mother. I wouldn't have it any other way.
