Andrea Guevara Higham, single mom and entrepreneur founded Ragazzi Clothing Company and Pooka™ with her elementary age children! Using her experience in design and marketing this mom-preneur wanted to get her kids involved in the freedom of entrepreneurship and show them that they can change the world! In 2007 that dream became reality as Andrea and her children launched Pooka™! Not only are most of the designs created by the children themselves, but the entire line is eco-friendly and socially responsible! In addition, a portion of every sale goes to non-profit organizations.

“Our mission is to make a positive impact on the world and prove that you don’t have to sacrifice style in order to feel good about what you’re wearing! Kids know what they like, and who better to design clothing for kids than other kids? We are empowering children to make a difference in the world—one t-shirt at a time!” says Andrea Guevara Higham, owner of Ragazzi Clothing Company and the Pooka™ brand.

Mairen (age 8) and Bailey (age 10), chief designers of Pooka™ are already experiencing the perks of having a business they created! Not only have their visages been seen on many sites across the world wide web, but they never grow tired of seeing their friends at school wearing their designs. Even a few celebrities such as Gwen Stefani and Josie Moran have received original Pooka™ eco-friendly tees.

While Pooka™ strives for the most artistic, childhood inspired eco-friendly clothing available, there is, of course, an even more personal side to the business. “I wanted to teach my children about business, but more importantly I wanted to show my children that their ideas and designs are important and valuable and that with hard work and passion they can achieve their dreams! What more could a mom want, right?” says Andrea.

“I hope that you will vote for me and help us get the word out that children offer something invaluable and can make a real difference in our world!” -Andrea
