Contestant's Case to Win

In the summer of 2006, on the beautiful coast of the state of Maine, Belle Pearl was created-shortly after receiving news that I was expecting my fifth child. Searching for a way to pursue my passions, yet keeping in mind I wanted to work close to home, I found the creation of Belle Pearl to be the perfect answer.

Before starting Belle Pearl, I had been working part-time as a Registered Dental Hygienist, but felt a calling from my inner entrepreneur. As the daughter of entrepreneurial parents, I learned at a young age that it took hard work and dedication to make a business successful. With determination, a positive outlook, and the support of my incredible husband and loving family, my adventure began.

Belle Pearl has become a fourishing brand name that exemplifies quality jewelry and exceptional customer service. I started the company myself-knowing little and having no connections. In three years, I have developed my own Brand of jewelry and have been recognized in the trade in receiving the 2008 Baby & Children's Product News Favorite Children's jewelry and also received the PTPA award (Parents tested, Parents Approved 2008). I went from having no wholesale market to a growing list of retailers and etailers that are proud to carry my collections. I am honored. Belle Pearl collections are currently available in over 80 fine gift and fashion boutiques nationwide and the list continues to grow.

The name Belle Pearl comes from two inspirations, Belle, from the French word meaning “beautiful” and the pearl which has been known as the “queen of gems.” Whether you are giving the gift of Belle Pearl jewelry or wearing it yourself, Belle Pearl captures the essence of styles that make every girl feel confident, stylish, and of course, beautiful. Belle Pearl Jewelry offers beautiful pearls for beautiful girls of all ages. Initially the jewelry line was exclusively a freshwater pearl collection, but as the business expanded, the designs now include semi-precious stones such as peridot, chalcedony, citrine, amethyst, among others.

It's exciting for me to be able to offer these fabulous jewelry designs and accessories that are fashion forward and chic. I have so many ideas and designs that I look forward to introducing in the coming months and years.

My goals for Belle Pearl are to continue a steady growth in the children's market, tween and teen, bridal and women's. My ultimate dream would be to have an exclusive collection featured on QVC. That is something I keep in the back of my mind...and someday...someday I hope to achieve this.

I am optimist-a positive thinker and believer. Everything in life worthwhile is worth working for. When there are days of frustration and fatigue, I find a way to pick myself up and look back on what I have achieved. I know that all of the hard work and dedication will eventually pay off and it will be glorious!

I envision my goals for Belle Pearl to be successful as well as being able to share that success with my 5 children and husband. For in the end...it is their happiness that is my most important achievement.
