I guess you could say becoming a mom changed my life. After my own experiences being a mom, working as a mom and staying home as mom, I decided that I wanted to help other new moms be successful breastfeeding. I had a lot of difficulties getting started with my son when he was born, so I wanted to find something that would enable me to help other moms while working from home and spending more time with my son. In April of 2007, I launched A Mother's Boutique - a one-stop-shop for everything that a breastfeeding mom or mom-to-be needs! Including clothing, breast pumps and most importantly support! To increase the level of support that I can offer to new moms, in October 2008, I started a blog - http://mommynewsblog.com. This enables me to share experiences and offer support to new moms. In just a short time, I have built up my business and have been profitable since the 6th month post launch. I do the majority of my work when my son is at school or napping or asleep at night - so I work all kinds of crazy hours. Most importantly - I have become a resource for new moms around the globe! All while having a lot more time to be a mom myself.
