Contestant's Case to Win
This is based on the number of votes received.I opened Sweet Organics and Naturals.com the last few days in November 2007. I wanted to create a business that not only brought more abundance into my family's life, but the life of others as well.
Sweet Organics and Naturals.com is a small eco-boutique with a beautiful array of quality eco-friendly items. Sustainable tree free gift wrap, note cards & computer paper. Plus, a large selection of amazing handcrafted eco-jewelry, journals & soaps that bring a touch of beauty into our lives & the lives of others.
Sweet Organics and Naturals.com helps bring abundance to local animal shelters & autism charities by donating 5% of its profits.
While wanting others to succeed with me, I’ve looked for other small woman owned business’s who embrace sustainability, care about quality and create beauty while protecting the environment.
Who am I?
• I am a mother of a beautiful child who has high functioning autism (HFA/Aspergers)
• A wife and a resident on this beautiful planet we all share.
• A cat owner & lover of nature.
While running Sweet Organics and Naturals.com from our home I am also a full time mom caring for our daughter alone while my husband works as a traveler in the medical field to provide our main source of financial support. Despite the battles with strep throat, parent teacher conferences & the normal boo boo’s of life I managed to juggle in fun while growing my business.
During my 1st year of business sales steadily grew each month ending in December with an increase in sales of 7500% from the previous December & have become a Co-Op America approved business. I’ve met some amazing women who not only became suppliers of merchandise for my boutique, but wonderful friends as well. In December I swelled with pride as I watched my daughter on stage in her 1st ever school play!
For my 2nd year, I’m hoping that my business will continue to grow giving me the revenue to hire someone to help me in this amazing adventure so I can continue to spend quality time with my daughter.
I would like to thank everyone in advance for their vote in the Leading Moms in Business 2009 competition.
Thank you :)
