Contestant's Case to Win

The Kidzsack is a line of eco friendly, creative backsacks for kids ages 4 and up. As a mother of four children, I am always on the lookout for toys and crafts that nurture creativity and are long lasting. So, I designed my own, and launched Kidzsack in fall 2007. The Kidzsack is multifunctional; it is a bag and also a craft project. It is screenprinted with my original artwork and there are 8 washable non toxic markers included in the packaging. The inside of the bag also has a pocket that can hold the markers in place. A child can color their bag any way they wish and when they tire of that look -- just wash it and they can start all over again!

The bag is green and made from 100% RECYCLED COTTON and SODA BOTTLES. It’s a REUSABLE activity that is perfect for sports, beach, travel, and carrying books. It is a great on the go activity!

I believe that I should be considered a Leading Mom in business because I am someone that possesses true entrepreneurial skills...I started something wonderful and inspiring from very little. I had an idea and with very little money, just $200, I executed my idea from concept to completion...doing all of this with four little kids! I do the marketing, sales, and order fulfillment myself. In a little over one year, I have my one product in over 80 gift shops internationally. I sell to museums, zoos, aquariums, specialty toy shops, hospitals, catalogs, and resort gift shops. Kidzsack has earned national recognition as it was awarded the 2008 Preferred Choice Award from Creative Child Magazine. Most recently, Kidzsack was featured on CBS NY on an eco friendly gift must have segment. I am completely determined and unstoppable, even in this economy. I see the potential and plan on expanding my product line this year. And...my ultimate goal would be for Kidzsack to grow into something so big and wonderful that I could have a whole network of stay at home moms working with me from their own homes...making their dreams happen as mine have.
