You should absolutely start using Google + for business reasons.
Google has already started adopting Me+ Search.
If you don't start using G+ now, you will be left behind soon.
Let me know if you need any help.
The Google+ market share has been growing at a ridiculously fast rate. It will definitely compete with Facebook in the future, but each of them have unique aspects that set them apart so I think they'll be able to live in harmony.
In my point of view Google will give more priority to Google+ rather than other social networking sites. Google+ also offering some extra features like hangout, circles e.t.c. So i think you should join Google+ to get the benefits.

I suggest to work on all these, Links, and lots of them, are necessary for obtaining high rankings in the search engines. So one is well-advised to link one's profile everywhere one can and with highly pertinent keywords in the anchor text, the reason being that one's Twitter and G+ profile is hosted on a different domain even though it is closely related to one's site. Hence by doing so, you can pass along a great deal of trust to it from your site, thereby making your links to it much more valuable.
Whats happened to creativity? Why do we need anything in social networking when facebook and twitter are enough, google should build something else they missed the social networking bus big time, with multiple failures Orkut, Wave & now Google+
When people get tired of Facebook (which will eventually happen) Google+ will be a good candidate for the next social media giant.
But you must have an account on Google+, its just a matter of few minutes. It could turn out to be a big success, no one knows!!
Been a ton of debate about this lately. Google+ can offer a lot FB cannot. Like intergration with your videos on youtube, or images on picasa. Google also has the abality to just burry FB in SERPS. They have already started to sort of do this with their rel=me set up. Will this work long term? If they want it to I think it will. I made a poll to illustrate my point:
