I've used paid advertisements to get my initial fans to my page. Then after that just let others come to me, some of which through my paid fans newsfeed.

Why would anyone pay to get fans to there page??   I know you would probably pay to bee seen but to buy fans?  I'd rather start slow with a little bit of fan who really liked what I have to offer instead of paying to simply have just anyone who will probably not even spend a dime on my site.   I guess what I'm saying is that just like anyting else you have to work to earn your fans.  (my opinion)

Hello, Paid fans would not provide the actual viral effect and sales objective that may want. Probably you need to be consistent in updating your page and write articles to lead people onto it.

I really don't think "buying" Fans is necessary.  I work on helping my clients get more Fans (or "likers" now) to their Pages all the time.  Here are some of the things I suggest:

--Use “Suggest to Friends” underneath the photo on your Page

--Use the “Share” button on the bottom left under where it says “Create a Page for My Business” to either post your Page info to your personal profile or send a message about your Page to others.

--Put a Facebook badge or Fan Box on your site/blog

--Include link to your Page in your email newsletter if you have one

--Include link to your Page in your email signature

-- Use the text box provided under your personal profile picture to add a blurb letting others know that you also have a Fan Page and include a link

...and on and on...

Most of all, SHARE GOOD CONTENT regularly.  This will bring more attention and buzz to your page.
