Try prostores.com or Yahoo Merchant services at Yahoo.com. they both offer inexpensive web stores and they make it very easy to get started. they will guide you every step of the way.

A piece of advice: When selling via the web it is so important make sure that you come appear as professional as possible. You must communicate as best you can that you are honest, reputable, and trustworthy. This means that you do not want to use IM shorthand anywhere on your site. Have a friend proofread your copy because often we don`t see our own mistakes.

Smurph,

Great advice! Ebay also has a workable storefront that could help you too. You should find a product that you know can sell, and get your school involve in it too. This way, your customer base could increase at a faster pace.

Philly, I think you`ll want to take a long and close look at the travel industry. You`ll be competing with airline companies, hotel industries, and people with literally millions of dollars to pour into a business such at Orbitz.

How do you see this business of yours? What will make it different from other existing businesses? Will you concentrate on a certain age group, or people with a certain amount of money for travelling?

What do you mean by "team," in this situation?

Great questions Craig!  Philly, don`t be discouraged, we need words of caution as much as we do, encouragement.  Craig is right, there are going to be alot of competitors in the travel business, but there may be something that customers want, that no one is satisfying right now.  If you can find a "niche" in the travel market and serve them, you`ll be in a good situation.

So, what is it that sets your travel business apart from the rest?  Maybe you will provide a more personalized experience for the customer, maybe you`ll provide the best customer service in the industry.

Do you have a plan yet?

The traveling business is highly competitive. You have Time Share Companies in the business too.
