hi i would like to start an agency that provides services to house holds in my locality.how laudable do you think is the idea.any suggestions as to how you think it would work better.thanks.

I think it is a very valid idea. I know I personally use such services although not as much as some elderly relatives.

I use a pet / house sitter regularly.

I use a service to collect and return dry cleaning.

I also use a house keeper weekly ( it is just my wife and I now and we both work, but it is worth the few dollars a week to not even have a discussion over who is cleaning what room).

I have in the past hired people to do grocery shopping and drive around doing errands.

Our present house keeper seems to have a expandable business model where she sub-contracts jobs to more local part-timers on a per job basis using her reputation and insurance. We`ve been with her for going on 4 years now.
