Contestant's Case to Win

Flavorocity was born out of a combination of necessity and passion. When I lost my job in October, 2008, I was faced with some tough decisions, like how was I going to feed my 5 children. After completely exhausting my 401k, and forced to move from our home, a friend asked me to make a cake and a few pies for a dinner party she was having for Christmas. And although I hate to bake (smile) I soon had several orders for desserts. It then occurred to me that perhaps I should start a catering business. So far, all business has been via word-of-mouth.

Flavorocity is a completely family-operated business. Catering jobs require much prep work, so the children participate in chopping, preparing, mixing, etc. Even the youngest child, who stands a mere three-and-a-half feet tall is an expert at peeling potatoes, folding napkins, and breading chicken. The older children, in addition to prep work, also assist in making customer deliveries. All of our clients have commended the children's participation.

I need to make Flavorocity completely self-sustaining for my family. I believe as a winner of the Home-Based 100 Competition, I would have the publicity needed to finally market to my new area. Money has been very limited for basic needs, so there hasn't been much money available for marketing and advertising. I believe with additional support in marketing and advertising, Flavorocity can really soar.

Please help Flavorocity, where customers get their money's worth with Fred Flintstone portions at prehistoric prices, to realize its goals of becoming the premier catering company in the northeast. Our perseverance through adversity speaks volumes. Our sweet potato cheesecake, red velvet cake, festive green beans, chicken tortilla soup and stuffed chicken breasts delight the palate. Our affordable prices delight the wallet. All we need now is some help in getting the word out to the public so that they will place orders!
