Contestant's Case to Win

We are a small web design and Internet marketing company located here in Los Angeles. We are all major fans of the green movement. We are close to the beach so we utilize the sea breezes for cooling off on hot days instead of an air conditioner. We only turn on machines when we need them and since we use computers, we hardly ever turn on the lights. We reuse printer paper: if its been used on one side, the other side gets used for scrap paper and making notes, sketches, etc. We often ride the metro trains and buses and we make the company pay for the passes as an employee bonus. Sometimes we carpool and since we work offsite, most employees are given the option to telecommute. We utilize the internet for meetings, conferences, etc. We recycle everything and from what we earn in recycling, gets put back to use for parties at the office. If they make an energy star device, we have it. We buy only recycled products if they are available, even if they are more expensive.We look at being green as a great way to save money and to help the environment at the same time. Its not always the easiest route, but well worth the effort. Even our hosting company who hosts our servers and websites are supplied by renewable energy. If we can find a way to reuse something we do! We think our little company should be considered for this competition due to the fact that we are doing our best to make sure our carbon footprint is lower than most companies around.
