The Gentle Bath & Company-Transform Your Bath into an Oasis

My home-based business was formed after I suffered an injury that prevented me from working as an RN. For years I had dreamed about the day that I could work from home by starting some type of website, although I had envisioned it would be nursing related. When my career ended unexpectedly, I started selling some items on eBay. With more time on my hands now I also started to redecorate my Master Bathroom. I was very successful with my eBay sales and after a while I eventually ran out of things around the house to sell. All the while I found that I loved internet sales and began to formulate what would eventually turn into my business plan.

I had found it difficult in redecorating my bathroom finding quality bath products. When I did find some quality products and unique items I began to imagine a store that where one could find all the items that would appeal to bath lovers. I researched the basics of starting a business and formed my company, The Gentle Bath & Company, in 2007.

I began with a specialty store on eBay and eventually expanded to my own website. From 2007 to 2008 my sales increased by 100%. I was living my dream selling products I loved, and staying home with my two boys and husband the whole time. I was also able to cope with the effects of my earlier injury with a schedule that was totally flexible and allowed me to rest whenever I needed! I continue to grow at a pace that allows time for me and my family. My injury was indeed a life-changing event, but somehow it turned out to be a blessing in disguise!
