After trying some of the top non-slip hair clips on the market, I was disappointed with the results. I decided to make non-slip bows for my own daughters. People would often stop and ask me where they could buy the bows my girls were wearing. This encouraged me to make a few bows for family and friends to see what they thought about them, the result? They came back for more, and encouraged me to start selling them.

Since starting my business, my bows have been in celebrity giftings to Courteney Cox and David Arquette's daughter Coco, Tobey Maguire and Jennifer Meyer's daughter Ruby, Renee and Scott Baio's daughter Bailey, Brooke Burke's daughter Heaven Rain, and several others. Bow Bijou was named a Jessica Simpson "Must Have" in the auction basket for Operation Smile. Bow Bijou is also in the upcoming auction for Denim and Diamonds which will benefit autism. I have also donated many of my bows to Children's Hospital in Oakland. Recently Bow Bijou was asked to create a floral clip for the Miss California Pageant.
