Contestant's Case to Win

As a military wife, I quickly realized that my career in Human Resource would be unfeasible. With frequent relocations, I needed a job that could move with me. I also needed a career that would allow me to stay home with my children.

After months of research, I devised a business plan. In April of 2009 I launched The Preppy Poppy! What is The Preppy Poppy? Personalized Products for Particular People. What is the catch? The Preppy Poppy is for Particular People - on a budget! I did heaps of price comparisons. I found venders with quality products, and low prices. There is nothing on my site over $50.00. The average cost for a personalized product is $18.00.

As a Homemaker, I had minimal start up funding. With that said, I had little money for advertising. I have utilized every free media outlet possible in order to promote my business. To my delight, my diligence is paying off!

To date, I am bringing in nearly $2,000.00 a month. This may seem like a humble amount. However, for a stay at home Mom who launched her website less than six months ago, this is a huge personal and professional success.

In addition, I have started providing eco-conscious merchandise for those individuals living the Green-Way. The reusable lunch sacks are a top seller. The Preppy Poppy added a new twist to the old paper bag!

My site provides beautiful personalized gifts that are priced towards today's declining market. My products are rich with beauty and thoughtfulness, but low on price.
