My Fancy Princess was inspired by my own little princess after her second birthday. She loves to dress up, dance, and is such a girly girl! I searched for quality dress up clothes and girly girl accessories in local stores without success. The only time you could really find any dress up costumes was during Halloween. Even most Halloween costumes being offered online were not of quality that could withstand every day play.

So I started to think, wouldn’t it be nice to have an online store that could offer beautiful quality dress up clothes, pretty princess gifts and other girly girl items that would delight little princesses all in one place? I got to work and after much research, I found the quality product and gifts I was looking for. In 2005, My Fancy Princess – dress up clothes and gifts fit for a princess – was born.

My Fancy Princess has blossomed into a growing online boutique that offers princess dress up clothes, gifts, jewelry, tea sets, toys, décor, personalized gifts and more! Mom's love to throw princess parties for their little girls and our site allows them to one stop shop for all their princess and tea party needs. We even have princess party favors! Our business also attracts a variety of event planning businesses as well as tea party businesses who purchase our dress up clothes and tea sets for their party needs. Some the tea party businesses that purchase from us are home-based businesses run by moms too so it's nice to know that our business helps support other mom-owned home-based businesses and vice-versa!

While most of our items are directed toward the age group of 3-9 year girls, we also have a selection of gifts for baby princesses, tweens as well as Mommy Bracelets. I am able to run much of my business from my home office, with order fulfillment carried out from our local small warehouse in Newark. I love that it allows me to be home for my now four children, while being able to make a substantial contribution toward our family income.

Princesses also love to receive their gifts in our special princess gift packaging because we love to make each princess feel extra special. Our gift packaging includes pretty tissue, complete with dreamy tulle and a sprinkling of fairy dust for extra magic.

Through My Fancy Princess, we have also worked with various organizations and charities such as Extreme Makeover Home Edition, Make-A-Wish Foundation and other various private charities to provide beautiful princess dresses and accessories to little girls who are less fortunate or ill.

I continue to be energized every day to look for new ways to make our business better, more efficient, customer friendly and magical. We have even looked for ways to become more "green" and environmentally friendly.
