BooginHead LLC. is a woman owned business which sells parent invented products to juvenile retailers nationwide and internationally. BooginHead’s current products include the patent pending SippiGrip, an award winning product which prevents a child’s cup, bottle or toy from falling to the floor and getting lost or dirty. After SippiGrip’s success we introduced PaciGrip (formerly BinkiGrip), a universal pacifier holder in matching SippiGrip colors. The juvenile industry is not only a 500 billion dollar business but it is also considered by some experts to be “recession proof”.
Our customer base includes retailers, both large and small such as Target, Babies “R” Us, Buy Buy Baby, Burlington Coat Factory and Amazon.com. We are currently entering into the next phase of our business by working with international distributors. BooginHead is committed to bringing products to market that are a “need” vs. a “want”. All of our products are parent invented, functional items that are also affordable. Watch my pitch on Donnie Deutsch’s, The Big Idea show at http://www.cnbc.com/id/15840232?video=868891705 When BooginHead LLC launched the SippiGrip product out into the market in September of 2007 we never imagined the rapid growth and success we would achieve less than 2 years later. In 2008 our gross sales hit 150K. For 2009 our forecasted sales, based on our first quarter earnings, is approximately 500K! Our sales have literally quadrupled in less than a year during a time where a lot of retail businesses are seeing a steep decline. In addition to my current full time job at Microsoft as an HR Manager for X-Box, I also run BooginHead day to day. I have always been a born entrepreneur,I understand what it takes to run a business and to recognize that if there are areas where you don’t have expertise, hire someone who does. People often ask how I am able to manage it all, 2 young children, a full time job, a husband and this business. I feel that if you are passionate about something, it doesn’t feel like work and you find the time to make it happen. In this case that is a lot of nights and weekends out of my home office!
