Our motto: "It's going to be a beautiful day..." (Not just your wedding day, but every day...!)
Created by a former Weddings editor, Orange & Blossom is a boutique website for modern, thoughtful, wedding embellishments — some handcrafted, many exclusive, all very desirable. Unlike the many, many wedding superstores online now, this is a highly edited shop of talented artists and vendors to appeal to creative couples seeking something beautiful, different, real. We are warmly personal (brides receive a distinctive, hand-written congratulations card on their wedding day) and purposefully small. My name is Lisa Marie, and I've adored weddings since I had my first piece of wedding cake at age 7. I created Orange & Blossom to be a calm, inviting online space where overwhelmed, time-crunched brides can shop for the best of the best in the same way they prefer to shop for clothing, gifts, and homewares — sanely! No dizzying array of links and mass-produced items; just simply luxe and lovely (sometimes eco-lovely) big-day details, often handcrafted in the USA.Our items (some available only at Orange & Blossom) range from pearl-and-gem jewelry handcrafted by up-and-coming artists in Hawaii and San Francisco; haute couture birdcage veils of fine European netting, coque feathers and Swarovski crystals; heirloom-quality designer ring bearer pillows (stylishly designed to be used after the big day as a lush accent pillow in the boudoir); soft, flowing tulle dresses and skirts for flower girls plus a matching maribou-edged Princess of the Petals purse; eco-friendly bamboo-and-rice-paper parasols complete with eye candy trims; and ceramic dinner and dessert plates for the newlyweds, hand-painted and twice fired by an artist in New Mexico. To help couples add meaning, my site includes a section for New Traditions from around the world, plus a stunning new collection of vintage pieces of wedding history to incorporate a meaningful and authentic "something old" into the day.I have also designed a unique service for smart and savvy brides on a budget: the first virtual wedding consultation! Many can't splurge on the luxury of a planner but would love some insider guidance. Our service appeals to the increasing trend of DIY brides who crave a bit of advice or tips from a pro throughout the planning process. At a fraction of a traditional wedding planner's fee with all the professional expertise of one (three 30-minute phone calls with an experienced Bay Area wedding coordinator), it's convenient, innovative, and affordable for this normally lavish personalized service. We are still growing and are very interested in helping couples to have a beautiful day in any way we can. I am excited to be the first boutique to promote a "less is more" philosophy. You don't need everything on the market to have a timeless celebration; just a few beautiful touches, friends, family, and the person you'll love for life. Cheers!
