I work very hard in a deadline-driven business, where it is not uncommon for me to be in front of a computer for eighteen hours at a stretch. However, I also play hard; and I am diligent about keeping my "play" schedule just as structured as my work schedule. When I was working in corporate offices, I struggled to maintain a gym routine, for example, because my free time was eaten up by commuting. Now, I am grateful to have a home gym where I can go at any point during the day to fit in a work out. In essence, working from home has provided me with a greater work-life balance. Happy and largely stress-free, I also am more focused, clear-minded and productive.
