Contestant's Case to Win

Like many entrepreneurs I sought a business that would enable me to follow my bliss. However, my bliss was to become a novelist and there was no benefactor willing to fund that dream! Therefore, I combined my writing talent with my 20+ years of sales and marketing experience to create a viable business that delivers a blend of services that uniquely reflects my passion and expertise. Words For Hire specializes in Content Development, Marketing and Career Marketing. Projects range from developing and implementing branding strategies to working with senior executives on career transitions. I built the company using a virtual business model, leveraging social media strategies such as blogging, LinkedIn, and Elance to attract and win clients. The technology, however is only a tool, the true innovation has been employing those tools to create a business that is entirely personal. Skype chats and blog conversations have allowed me to expose my humanity rather than hide behind a placard. The personal relationships with clients have resulted in true collaborations and a track record of successes. I have defined success on my own terms and built a company that truly serves others. Thank you for taking time to get to know Words For Hire!--Karen D. Swim, President and CEO
