We believe the Real Estate markets are one of the major contributing factors in the cause of the current recession and will also be a contributing factor for pulling out of the recession. Investors and developers were over leveraging themselves. The general willingness of lenders to supply easy credit was not helping the situation either. Today we have a market where liquidity is scarce and banks are afraid investors will default on many properties. As such, real estate lending has all but dried up leaving many novice developers and investors without money to get going or to finish their project that have already started.

Cornerstone saw an oppporunity in this real estate market to teach investors and developers how to setup their projects and present them in the best light with an eye toward obtaining financing. Much like startup nation, which coaches entrepreneurs how to start and operate businesses, we teach investors and developers how to start and be successful in their real estate investing careers.

Cornerstone also cares deeply about the environment. We run a virtually paperless office. All of our communications systems are digital from the phones to the fax machines and require little or no paper products. We also use only vendors which offer online/paperless billing. The main base of our operations is located in a builtgreen certified green home, which offers low VOC paints for healthier living, reduced water usage, and lower utility bills overall. We have also partnered with a Green REal Estate firm, GreenWorks realty, to offer investment sales for our clients. Greenworks was the first real estate brokerage in the country to focus on green real estate sales. All of these things help us save the environment while making the real estate business more efficient.
