Be laugh-friendly. Change the world. We’re trademarked the “laugh-friendly company” and we built our company based on this motto.

Our business is truly a family affair. We're creative-junkie sisters eager to bring to life the magical world of a sweet little girl called Nana Star created by our grandmother years ago. Entrepreneurs at heart, in order to introduce children to Nana Star, we became picture book authors, publishers, and members of that illustrious band of trend-setting businesswomen: mompreneurs.

Since founding ee, that's "double e," by the way, we've expanded the world of Nana Star to include a multi award-winning picture book series, character plushies, and an award-winning companion web site. We're also launching another line of retro-style toys, the CutiePatootie WannaBe Babies, designed to spark the big dreams of little people.

ee is out to change the world. We create children's books and toys with high play and imagination value because we believe that the world would be a happier place if kids got to be kids just a little bit longer and if grownups greeted each day with more of the wonder we love in our children. In our products, we tap into the tremendous capacity for goodness, generosity, and compassion that children naturally possess.

Our first and most important initiative is The Nana Star Foundation, dedicated to two main causes: helping make life easier for children attending under-resourced, inner-city schools and for terminally ill children. A portion of all Nana Star product sales goes directly to the Foundation.

Through The Nana Star Foundation, we wrap hope around books and toys for thousands of children who need a reason to smile.

We started our company on a laugh and a dream and have since built big things. Things have happened because we’ve stayed true to our mission and beliefs and were able to take the hits and ride the waves. One day we hope to be an inspiration to others to find their passion and live out their dreams no matter how wild they may seem and keep a sense of humor and purpose all the while.
