Contestant's Case to Win

This is based on the number of votes received and does not reflect the quality of the business.
Poly Clay Play offers products, tools, books and projects for working with Polymer Clay.

The main goal of my business is to provide fun projects for people of all ages, to help them learn new ways to put their creativity to use. The projects are well written with full color photos, step by step instructions and videos to teach members various techniques and ideas for "playing" with polymer clay. The project topics include jewelry, home decor items, holiday decorations, gifts and one of my favorites, recycling. An example is the free project offered at Poly Clay Play that uses tuna cans as the base for a stackable caddy, great for storing all sorts of office items or for the Poly Clay Play-aholic, a great place to store some of the tools we use.

I am responsible for everything to do with my business and I love my job! I am very proud of the response. When I first began, I started with a few things on an auction site. Then I decided to write a book using polymer clay to decorate empty juice bottles. The book was fun to write but I wanted to be able to reach more readers, to get them involved with the fun and endless possibilities of "playing" with clay. That is when the Poly Clay Play Club began. The most exciting part for me is that every person, who joined the club as a yearly subscriber that first month, has renewed their subscription. I miss the joy of seeing excited faces when they learn something new. The return of happy subscribers helps make up for that, knowing that after two years, they want to continue with the Poly Clay Play Club along with all the other monthly and yearly subscribers that have joined along the way.

I try to provide a fun way to let out the frustrations of life by helping create art, helping make use of objects that would otherwise be thrown away and by being there for my customers. I am ready to answer questions on a daily basis and I pride myself on delivering products as quickly as possible. I know that as a customer, I want the things I order to be in my hands as soon as possible so I am able to use them. I try to give that satisfaction to my customers by getting their orders quickly shipped, usually the same day, so they can continue their creative journey.

The most rewarding part of my business is the friendships I have made along the way. Everyone in the polymer clay community is very giving and many of my customers have become my friends. I hope that I am like the teacher you had in school that you will always remember because she did more than teach you the steps but also helped you enjoy the process.
