Their first project, "the 100k house", is an effort to build a supremely affordable LEED Platinum home. Chad Luderman and his partners hope that this will lead to a line of affordable green housing that can be replicated throughout Philadelphia and other cities with open infill lots. Their office is based in a loft apartment in Philadelphia. Besides building green and blogging green, the company is run in as environmentally-friendly a way as possible. None of the people involved own a car. Transport is either via bike, foot, public transit or, when necessary, car share. The office is run nearly paperlessly. In fact, to discourage unnecessary printing the printer is kept disconnected on a storage shelf. Everything from light bulbs to the sleep settings on our computers has been considered in an effort to stay true to the company's green goals.
