Contestant's Case to Win
After losing my job as a graphic/web designer, I sought solace in cooking, a pastime which eventually lead to the establishment of my own fresh salsa company, Tommy V Foods, LLC./TommyV's Salsa. I currently produce four different types of fresh salsas that contain no added sugar, from the pineapple and mango infused mild salsa to Fugosa, a fire-roasted tomato and roasted jalapeno salsa.
I source my fresh and all-natural ingredients from both my own garden and from surrounding farms and farmers markets.TommyV's Salsa has grown in popularity since they hit the market in June 2009. Customers can find Tommy V’s salsa at several local farmers markets in Northern Virginia.I am a divorced dad with two kids ages 14 and 10. I want to show my kids that through hard work and dedication, it is ALL possible to start a business you love.
